In case you haven't noticed (or cared), I haven't written here for a while. This is largely because I've been putting off writing a 'here's what I've been doing for the last month or so and here's why I didn't write any blog posts and I'm sorry and it'll never happen again until next week' blog post. Thus, in order to get back here and 'blogging', I have decided not to bother trying to account for my period of absence. So, here I am. Back.

Today I started mixing. About a month ago I was thinking that I could mix my tracks myself and trot off and have them mastered – after a bit of actually listening to what I was doing (compared to the rest of the world) and waking up to my serious lack of mixing skills, I realised that I would have to get them mixed by someone else. Without boring you with too much of a description of my fear- and despair-fuelled thought processes (maybe I'll just give up?, etc.), I talked myself around to the necessity of spending quite a lot more money than I was hoping to. As such, I am getting my tracks mixed by Danny Bonnici. I'm not sure if I'll put them all up here as they're done as they still have to be mastered, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to post the first one here and (hopefully) receive some feedback.

Yes, feedback.

Since you are reading this, you are probably an exceptional human being anyway and will undoubtedly relish the opportunity to provide me with some small measure of assistance in response to the open, heartfelt sharing of my artistic vision. As such, below is my song. It's called Space. If you have the time and inclination, please have a listen and let me know what you think.

(If you are reading this on Facebook, the above player probably doesn't work. You can find it at ardeem.com.)

Please have a listen and let me know what you think via a comment at Ardeem.com, or Twitter, or whatever you feel like (except Facebook)

(Ok, you can use Facebook if you really want to. I still appreciate it. Just not as much)

Thanks, hope you enjoy it.

Love from Jacob
